49ers GM John Lynch: Reuben Foster won’t receive special treatment after arrest

SportsPulse: Don’t call it a fine. But Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will likely have to pay a pretty penny as the Roger Goodell and the NFL are seeking him to pay millions in legal fees stemming from two high-profiles clashes with league.

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch told reporters Wednesday that the team is following league and law enforcement protocols with regards to Reuben Foster, dismissing the notion that the linebacker is receiving special treatment because he was a coveted first-round draft pick.

Foster was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, making criminal threats and possession of an assault weapon in Northern California earlier this month, his second arrest in as many months. Beyond releasing a statement acknowledging the linebacker’s arrest, the 49ers had not commented on the matter prior to Wednesday.

“With this, we’ve been a little quiet. And that’s for a reason. There’s places I can’t and won’t go,” Lynch told reporters.
