49ers LB Reuben Foster arrested on marijuana charge in Alabama

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested on a charge of second-degree marijuana possession Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

As of Friday night, the 23-year-old was still in jail on a $2,500 bond, according to the Anniston Star.

The charge of second-degree marijuana possession in Alabama comes when an individual possesses for personal use. It is a Class A misdemeanor where the person cannot be in county jail for more than a year.

Foster was the 31st overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and tallied 59 tackles as a rookie. 

The former Crimson Tide linebacker has had prior issues, falling in the draft for various reasons. He blew up at medical personnel at the NFL combine and his urine sample came back dilute, which is an automatic positive test.
