Neal has been good in camp, but more importantly, he has played well when the lights are on in preseason games. This past Saturday against the Raiders, he not only recorded a sack, he also had two tackles for loss and one QB hurry.
Neal played defensive end at LSU but he’s playing inside at defensive tackle for the Cowboys. He’s undersized (6-0, 261) but is quick. More importantly, he’s hard to move off his spot. That’s surprising, since he’s small by NFL standards. Talking with scouts, as well as DallasCowboys.com’s Bryan Broaddus, we all said that Neal kind of reminds us of former Cowboys DT John Nix, who was nicknamed “a trash can full of dirt” because he was hard to move.
As for Neal, just check out his bio and you’ll see that he already has a can-do spirit. He opened a barbershop near the LSU campus and started a financial investment firm.
