Carlos Correa celebrates World Series title with on-field proposal

Nights don’t get much better than the one Carlos Correa had on Wednesday.

First, the star Houston shortstop became a World Series champion when the Astros toppled the Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7 in Los Angeles.

Then, while the Astros were celebrating on the Dodger Stadium field, Correa proposed to his girlfriend, who said yes.

Carlos Correa explains his decision to propose to his girlfriend after the Astros win the World Series and expresses his emotions of becoming a champion.

“… I was planning if we were World Series champions, I was going to do it right there,” Correa said. “I don’t think that’s a stage you can create, it just has to happen. And we were able to win tonight, so perfect timing for me to get engaged.

“I’ve been thinking about it for months now, but I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, you know. I knew we had a great team, we could accomplish this, and I wasn’t wrong.”
