Manchester United agree £75m fee for Everton’s Romelu Lukaku – sources

With a report surfacing that Man United might shell out £100 million for the Everton striker, the FC panel debate its validity.

Manchester United have agreed a £75 million deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, sources have told ESPN FC.

United have also stopped negotiations with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata after the Spanish side refused to drop their asking price.

They are hopeful a deal for Lukaku can be completed in time for the Belgium striker to be in the squad that departs for the preseason tour of the United States on Sunday.

The agreement with Everton does not involve Wayne Rooney heading the opposite way.

However, negotiations are set to continue between United and Everton to take the 31-year-old back to Goodison Park.

United had been led to believe Lukaku favoured a return to Chelsea and that a deal to take the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge had, at one stage, been close.
