Mayweather: I can make $300 million in 36 minutes from McGregor fight

Since it was first talked about more than a year ago, the one thing that is clear about the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor boxing match is that it will rake in a huge amount of money for both fighters. While McGregor is foreseeing his net worth to be quadrupled, Mayweather is expecting the usual hefty amount, even after being out of action for two years.

“I mean, am I the highest-paid athlete out there? And just coming back? We not talking about no contract,” Mayweather said in a clip of Showtime’s “All-Access” show (via TMZ Sports). “We not talking about no contract for no four years or no contract for no five years. I can do it in 36 minutes. $300 (million) or better. In 36 minutes.”

Just days before the first press tour in Los Angeles in mid-July, it was reported that Floyd Jr. also owed an undisclosed amount to the IRS, stemming from unpaid taxes dating back to 2015. Mayweather had supposedly asked for an installment agreement from the U.S Tax Court, citing that he would be paying the remaining balance after the August 26th fight.

Mayweather, like always, dispelled these talks by flaunting a wad of cash.
