The Boston Celtics will meet soon with expected top-five pick Josh Jackson, according to a report.

Jackson reportedly canceled a workout with Boston earlier this week before auditioning for the Los Angeles Lakers, who own the No. 2 pick, for a second time. It’s not clear why the Kansas product ditched that workout with the Celtics, but his tune toward the team might have changed after ESPN reported an anonymous GM considers Jackson the favorite at No. 1. Despite that GM’s belief, Markelle Fultz is widely considered the frontrunner to land in that slot.
The Celtics have already taken a close look at some top prospects, including Fultz. Lonzo Ball has not agreed to meet with the team yet, and might keep things that way, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne:
Lonzo has only spoken to/worked out for Lakers. I’m told he could still speak w/ teams *below* Lakers in lottery. But no plans to talk to Cs

The Celtics have stressed they will pick whoever they like the most, regardless of whether they are afforded a predraft meeting/workout with the prospect.
