To say Gordon has had some off-the-field issues would be putting it lightly.
Gordon was kicked off the Baylor football team for violating team rules and failing a drug test. Once he made it to the league, he was suspended multiple times for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
He eventually missed the entirety of the 2014 and 2015 seasons due to multiple failed drug tests. Those prolonged absences followed a 2013 season that featured Gordon’s only All-Pro and Pro Bowl selections. During that season, Gordon caught 87 passes for 1,646 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
Gordon was reinstated by the league last season. He appeared in just five games during the Browns’ 0-16 campaign. This offseason, Gordon left the squad during training camp to work on his personal issues.
While Gordon is a talented player, that’s a lot of red flags for an Eagles team looking to add a second consecutive Super Bowl ring to its collection.
