LOS ANGELES – All-Star Game formats, across all sports, seem to change as frequently as the tides, so let’s prepare for the NHL’s version to be played on Sunday (3:30 p.m. ET, NBC) at Staples Center.
The basics: Four teams are fielded with 11 players from each division. The Eastern and Western conference teams will each meet in a 20-minute, three-on-three game. The winners will advance to the final, with $1 million awarded to the winning team.

“It’s a completely different game,” Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds said
