No. 1 Kansas takes control late to win at No. 4 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Breaking down No. 1 Kansas’s 79-73 win over No. 4 Kentucky on Saturday night at Rupp Arena:

THE BIG PICTURE: The game was billed as a matchup between arguably the nation’s two best backcourts. The overarching story line was easy: The vets against the rookies. On Friday, little more than 24 hours before tipoff, Kentucky freshman De’Aaron Fox said the experience of Kansas guards Frank Mason III and Devonte’ Graham was something he was worried about. Though he had confidence in himself and his Wildcat teammates, he couldn’t make up for the fact that he hadn’t navigated nearly as many big-game college contests as the guys he’d be facing.
