Not Over The Edge: Cowboys combine stock report on pass rushers

Last year Dallas spent their first-round pick on defensive rnd Taco Charlton in an attempt to generate more pressure on opposing quarterbacks. With the ascendance of DeMarcus Lawrence into the stratosphere of the elite, it would appear Dallas is not as desperate for a premier pass rusher. However as is always the case, one team can never have too many great edge guys.

Dallas may be looking to add another strong DE to perhaps brace themselves in case Lawrence is unable to be signed to a long-term contract or if Charlton doesn’t pan out.

Using combine results since 2011, Cowboys Wire has been able to build athletic profiles for all the combine participants. Every morning we will be providingprovidi of the previous days action. For every measurement, weigh in and drill, we’ve plotted the results in correlation to the previous data collected.

A blue score or time means the player rated better than any other prospect previously selected by the Cowboys. Dark green means above the average of selected players at the position, light green indicates the score is lower than the average but still above the worst previously selected. Any score that ranks below the lowest Dallas has selected is represented by red.
