Source: ‘Nothing’ to Kyrie Irving trade rumors involving Bucks

The NBA world has spent the past week buzzing about a trade that would send Cleveland Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving to Boston in exchange for two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn’s 2018 first-round draft pick.

That blockbuster has continued to garner a high level of attention because the swap has stalled. The holdup came after Cleveland brought Thomas in for a physical exam that raised the team’s concerns regarding the health of Thomas’ right hip. Thomas suffered a torn right labrum during the regular season and re-aggravated it during the playoffs.

A team can void a trade in the case of failed physical, which has reopened speculation about what could happen should the Cavaliers go that route. Irving, the No. 1 pick in the 2011 draft and a four-time All-star, has already made it known that he wants to be traded.

Other teams would certainly be interested in Irving, who has two years left on his contract plus a player option for 2019-’20, should the Cavaliers void their trade with the Celtics and put Irving back
