Injuries affect every team, but just one month into the season, the Indianapolis Colts seem to be impacted as much as any team in the league. Key players on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball are unable to take the field in this short week; in all, seven Colts players have been ruled out in advance of this game.
The Patriots have a handful of players listed as questionable, but none have been officially ruled out as of yet. Perhaps most significantly for the Patriots, wide receiver Julian Edelman will make his 2018 season debut. Edelman, who missed all of last season after tearing his ACL in the preseason, is now coming off a four-game suspension. While the extra four weeks of training have undoubtedly benefited his surgically reconstructed knee, Edelman was a full participant in training camp and has not been limited in any way since the preseason.
