Warriors vs. Rockets 2018 results: Houston evens series with dominant win

The Houston Rockets dominated the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, 127-105, and we’re tied at 1-1 for the series. Eric Gordon and James Harden both had 27 points for Houston, including 6-of-9 on threes for the former. PJ Tucker added 22 points, including 5-of-6 from range.

It was an ugly game for both teams, to start. Missed threes and bad turnovers were on display, pretty much the exact opposite of Game 1. The Warriors, though, were much worse, and made turnover after turnover, while the Rockets made adjustments and slowly started to establish a lead in the second quarter.

By the second half, they were in a rhythm that the Warriors simply couldn’t match. They were all over Curry, who missed plenty of shots — way more than his fair share. Kevin Durant was excellent for Golden State, but he was the only one.

Durant had 38 points, and made three shots from range. He also made all nine of his free throw attempts, but had just three rebounds and no assists. Curry had seven rebounds, seven assists and 16 points, while the rest of the team didn’t score in double digits.

Both Harden and Clint Capela had 10 rebounds for Houston, while both of Trevor Ariza and Chris Paul
